Rawa Island Resort, Malaysia
Rawa Island is an idyllic tropical island paradise, that lies on the east coast of Johor, in Peninsular Malaysia. Rawa Island provides you with the most peaceful and beautiful beach, in the middle of pure unspoilt nature. The island is surrounded by crystal clear turquoise water, white powdery sand, and forest vegetation inland.
Rawa Island Resort
Rawa Island Resort is the only resort on the island. The resort is especially popular with families but even many couples visit.
There is a coral reef just in front of the resort, which is possible to reach directly from the main beach. Snorkel and diving packages can be booked from the resort’s own Diving Centre to some of the many offshore coral reefs and caves rich in marine life.

There are two areas in the resort to stay. The main area, around the main beach, is where most activities are. 10 minutes walking distance from the main area is the Frangipani villas, which are newer, higher standard, and quieter.
The minimum stay is 3D2N. All packages come with full board and return boat transfer. The best season to visit Rawa Island is from March till October.
Beach at Rawa Island
To reach Rawa Island there is a 30 min boat ride between Rawa Island and Mersing Jetty. The nearest airport to Mersing is Johor Bahru which is 2½ hours away by car. Johor Bahru has many domestic destinations and a few international. The nearest bigger international airports are Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, which are 4-5 hours away.
