Day 1: Arrival Ho Chi Minh City

Today you will arrive at the more fast-paced and modernized city of Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as ‘Saigon’.

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free at your own leisure.

Day 2: City Tour

After breakfast, you will get to explore the great atmosphere around the lively Chinatown. Get into the rhythm of the busy and colourful scenes of the Binh Tay market and Thien Hau Temple. After that, we will visit the War Remnants Museum before stopping for lunch.

After lunch, you will visit the Reunification Palace, which was the residence of the President of South Vietnam until the end of the war in April 1975. Then, you will continue to visit some other impressive French colonial structures, including the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Central Post Office. After visiting the City Hall, take a break-time at the Ben Thanh market.

Day 3: Cu Chi Tunnels

Rise and shine! After breakfast, you will be journeying to the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City for a visit to the amazing Cu Chi Tunnels — a well-known historical vestige of the Vietnamese revolution.

With its distinctive architecture, this cobweb-like tunnel complex is a network of underground dug-outs of over 200 kilometres long, consisting of many layers and turnings with meeting, living and fighting quarters where we learn first hand how the Viet Cong survived the extraordinary underground existence during the Vietnam War.

Then, it’s back to Ho Chi Minh city for lunch and you will enjoy the rest of the day at your own leisure.

Day 4: Mekong Delta

After breakfast, you will journey to Vinh Long – one of the 12 fertile provinces of the Mekong Delta. This boat trip will bring you to the great Mekong River to see the Cai Be floating market.

Here, we will make several stops to see local people making rice paper, coconut candy, popcorn and more. Continue by small boat rowing in a small canal where it will then take us to a quaint homestay on Minh Island. After checking in, make friends with members of your homestay family. Walk around the village or garden, and participate in group cooking for dinner.

In the evening, you will enjoy a sumptuous diner and have a cup of tea or rice wine when talking together. You can ask about the culture, people, history of this Island. You will stay overnight at Ut Trinh homestay.

Day 5: Mekong Delta

Rise and shine! Have breakfast and take a stroll along the village to enjoy the fresh air in the morning. After that, you will take a boat trip to visit the brick kilns where you can see how the local people produce beautiful potteries from clay.

Next, you will also visit the Vinh Long market in town. This is the best place for you to take pictures of fish, shrimps, prawns, crabs, snakes, rice-field rats, tropical fruits, vegetables and more. The cruise will end at around 10:30 am in Vinh Long town, where you will continue to Can Tho city to visit the Khmer pagoda.

You will spend the night Can Tho.

Day 6: Mekong Delta

After breakfast, you will go on a boat trip in the early morning to the Lower Branch of the Mekong River to visit the Cai Rang floating market. Here, you will get to enjoy the daily life activities of local people on the river. The landscape here is very beautiful with hundreds of sampans carrying sacks of rice, fruits and handicraft products.

Next, we will visit the central market and explore the local activities here. After leaving the market, we will visit the luxuriant orchard of Mr Ba Cong and enjoy fresh fruits picked by you.

In the evening, you will be transferred back to your hotel and spend the rest of your day at your own leisure.

Day 7: Phu Quoc

After breakfast at your hotel, it is free time at your own leisure until it’s time to take your transfer to Can Tho airport for your flight to Phu Quoc.

Upon arrival, you will be transferred to check-in to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at your own leisure.

Day 8: Phu Quoc

Today is free for your own leisure. Phu Quoc is part of An Thoi archipelago of 21 islands. Some of them with beautiful beaches.

It’s another wonderful day in Phu Quoc. Take your time to stroll around the island and mingle with the locals.

It’s your last full day in Phu Quoc. If you like, you can go to the spa and spend the rest of the day getting pampered, or relax at the pool or beach.
