Day 1: Arrival Bali – Ubud

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our representative and directly transferred to your hotel in Ubud, right in the centre of Bali, an island also known as the Island of the Gods. The Balinese culture is truly unique and the majority of the population in Bali practices their own form of Hinduism.

Day 2: Ubud

Wake up in the beautiful village of Ubud and, after breakfast, get ready to explore the area.

Today we will drive to Tampak Siring, located about 10 kilometres northeast of Ubud. Here, you will get to visit the 11th century Gunung Kawi temple, also known as the royal tombs, where the flight of stairs leads down to the valley of the sacred Pakerisan River.

Two sets of temples were carved out on the cliffs on either side of the river as a memorial for one of Bali’s most ancient royal families. Next, you will continue to visit a holy spring of Tirta Empul that is surrounded by a large shrine to honour the God Indra. Here, there are bathing pools where you can take a dip in. These pools are believed to have strong curative powers. On a hill behind this temple is a presidential guest house built by the late President Soekarno.

We will then continue with a drive up to Kintamani to enjoy the spectacular view of Mount Batur and its crater lake. Afterwards, we will visit the plantations nearby, walking amidst a field of local fruits, coffee, cocoa vanilla and cloves.

Balinese coffee is found mostly in the mountainous central part of Bali. Here, you will be able to witness how the Balinese people produce their local coffee powder. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant.

On your way back to the hotel, we will have a pit stop at Tegalalang to enjoy a stunning view of the rice fields, which is a perfect spot for photography. The day’s tour concludes with a transfer back to your hotel.

Day 3: White Water Rafting

Adventure awaits you today. During this white water rafting trip, you will get to experience the 33 action-packed rapids of Ayung. The wild ride begins as soon as you reach the river bed and hop into your assigned raft. The 9.6 kilometres journey carries you over white waters and thrilling terrain, with stunning backdrops of untouched rainforest, towering gorges and magical rice fields.

If this is your first time, rest assured that the professionally-trained river guide will pilot you safely through the course. You will end the adventure and unwind with a hot shower, followed by a gourmet buffet feast overlooking majestic mountains and lush green landscapes. You will sleep soundly tonight.

Day 4: Ubud – East Bali

After a restful night and a scrumptious breakfast, we hit the trail towards Bali’s east and through picturesque parts of the island to Sibetan village. Here, you will visit a Salak (snakeskin fruit) plantation and get a chance to taste the fruit.

From here, you will continue with a light trek to the village of Tenganan. After crossing a bamboo bridge, you will walk through a fascinating stretch of rice fields around the villages. The two-hour walk will end in Tenganan, an ancient village in which the people practice a unique tradition influenced by the Hindu Javanese culture. Here, you will be able to see the women villagers weaving the famous double-ikat cloth, which is believed to have a protective power upon its wearer. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

On the way back to Ubud, we will stop by at Kusamba, a fishermen’s village that also engages in salt-making activities. Here is where you will see colourful outriggers lined up along the black sand shores, the coastal road with a full view to Nusa Penida will lead us to Goa Lawah (Bat Cave). In this cave, the walls reverberates with thousands of bat sounds. It is also considered holy, with a temple and surrounding shrines protecting the entrance.

Day 5: Ubud

After breakfast at the hotel, you’re free to enjoy the day at your own leisure. Explore the small streets or market of Ubud on your own, enjoy a legendary spa treatment or join a yoga class. Ubud is the cultural centre of Bali and the town is surrounded by many beautiful rice terraces.

Day 6: Bali – Gili Trawangan

After checking out, we will pick you up at the hotel and transfer you to Padangbai Harbour to catch the speed boat to Gili Trawangan. The Gili Islands is a paradise. It consists of three mini-island that features, above all, pristine beaches decorated with a lively ecosystem. There is no motorized vehicle on the island. To get to where you want to be, you have got a choice between Cidomo (horse carriage), bicycles, and your own feet. You can visit the other islands on boat trips.

Enjoy Gili Trawangan at your own pace for the rest of the day.

Day 7: Gili Trawangan

After breakfast at your hotel, you will have the whole day free and easy at your own leisure. You can also opt to join on a snorkeling or diving trip. The Gili Islands are famous for being surrounded by crystal clear water and colourful coral reefs.

Day 8: Gili Trawangan

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy the day free at your own leisure. Enjoy beach activities and get yourself ready for a mesmerizing sunset, which the Gili Islands are famous for.

Day 9: Gili Trawangan – Lombok

Today you will transfer by a short 20 min boat ride to Lombok. After checking out from your hotel, you will find your way to Gili Trawangan Jetty.

Upon arrival at the Gili Trawangan Jetty, you will be transferred via speed boat to Lombok and proceed to Senggigi Beach. The rest of the day is free at your own leisure.

Day 10: Trekking at Tetebatu

After breakfast, you will visit the village of Tetebatu, which is known as a peaceful and tranquil village. Do not miss the chance to do light trekking to the local forest inhabited by the wild black monkeys (pitu), dotted by mahogany trees and cloves plantation. You may also witness the simple and natural lifestyle of the locals.

Before that, you can visit the Lingsar temple that symbolizes the harmony of Islam and Hinduism, and Taman Narmada, a kingly garden, which is also the replica of Lake Segara Anak in Mount Rinjani.

Enjoy the day free at your own leisure and explore the enchanting surroundings of Lombok.

Day 12: Departure Lombok

After 12 days of experiencing a unique culture, beautiful nature and amazing beaches, it is time to transfer you to Lombok Airport. From here, you can opt whether to go back home or to enjoy some more days in Bali.
