Introduction to Koh Tao, Thailand
Koh Tao means “Turtle Island”, the island is perhaps the smallest inhabited landmass in the Gulf of Thailand and is home to some of the most amazing diving locations in Asia.
The island is covered in lush virgin forest, surrounded by colourful coral reefs. There are still many turtles in the sea around Koh Tao. The island was discovered by divers and travellers, and it remains pristine. It is truly an island paradise that has to be seen to be believed.
Activities on the island are mainly sea related. You will find many diving schools on the island.
On land, you can enjoy fresh seafood at restaurants, drink tropical cocktails in a bar on the beach, or relax your body and mind at a spa.
Koh Tao offers a wide range of accommodations from budget to luxury. There is no airport on the island. To get to Koh Tao you have to take a ferry from Koh Samui.
