Day 1: Arrival Kathmandu
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel, ensuring a smooth start to your journey.
After you’ve settled in, your trek leader will introduce you to the group and provide a detailed briefing about the next day’s plan. This includes key information about the route, schedule, and gear needed—helping everyone feel prepared and connected as you begin your adventure together.
Day 2: Kathmandu Morning Walking Tour
Begin at Ason, the bustling old bazaar, where the lively atmosphere, colorful stalls, and aromatic spices offer an authentic glimpse into everyday Nepali life.
Continue to Patan Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its exquisite Newari architecture and centuries-old palace buildings. This beautifully preserved area offers deep insight into the artistic and cultural legacy of the Kathmandu Valley.
A visit to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world, adds a spiritual dimension to your day. Encircled by fluttering prayer flags and spinning prayer wheels, this sacred site is a peaceful haven where you can observe local devotion and soak in the serene energy.
There will also be time for last-minute preparations, including shopping for any essential trekking gear in Kathmandu’s many well-stocked outdoor shops.
Later, your trek leader will brief you on the upcoming day’s program—covering the route, trekking hours, accommodation details, and safety guidelines. This ensures you’re fully informed, well-prepared, and ready to begin your Himalayan adventure.
Day 3: Drive to Birethanti via Pokhara. Overnight lodge.
After a hearty breakfast, your journey begins. You’ll set off in a comfortable private vehicle, traveling along the main highway that links Kathmandu to the heart of Nepal. This scenic route winds through a landscape of lush terraced fields, forested hills, and vibrant rural towns—offering an ever-changing panorama of the country’s natural beauty and daily life.
Regular stops for restroom breaks and a leisurely lunch ensure a relaxed and enjoyable ride. After approximately 6 to 7 hours on the road, you’ll arrive in Pokhara, a lakeside city known for its laid-back charm and Himalayan views. From there, a picturesque 90-minute drive takes you deeper into the countryside to your final destination for the day: Birethanti.
Nestled beside the tranquil Modi River, Birethanti is a peaceful village steeped in trekking history. Before modern roads were built, it served as a key gateway for adventurers heading into the Annapurna region. Today, its quiet charm remains intact. The soothing sounds of the river and the hum of nature offer a serene backdrop, perfect for unwinding after your day’s travel. As evening falls, you’ll have the chance to relax, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and feel truly immersed in the peaceful rhythms of rural Nepal.
Day 4: Trek to Banthanti
With breakfast behind you, your trekking journey sets off from Birethanti. The trail leads through picturesque scenery—following the gentle flow of the Burungdi River, passing whitewashed village houses, and winding alongside terraced fields carved into the hillsides. As you take in the peaceful surroundings, you’ll gradually make your way toward Tirkhedhunga, a walk of approximately three hours.
Once in Tirkhedhunga, the terrain shifts as you begin a more challenging uphill hike to Ulleri, which takes around two hours. This section is steep and demanding, with a long stone staircase testing your stamina. But with every step, the views become more rewarding—and reaching Ulleri brings a true sense of accomplishment. Here, you’ll pause for a well-earned break and enjoy lunch.
Afterward, the trail continues with a gentler ascent through forested paths as you head toward Banthanti, your destination for the night. Quieter and less traveled than other villages along the route, Banthanti offers a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by nature. You’ll be welcomed into a cosy lodge run by a kind local family, providing a comfortable and restful end to your trekking day.
In total, the day includes a 3-hour walk to Tirkhedhunga, a steep 2-hour climb to Ulleri, and a final stretch to Banthanti—offering a balanced mix of challenge, beauty, and relaxation.
Day 5: Ghorepani
After a fulfilling breakfast, you will begin your hike to Ghorepani. The trail will lead you through dense Oak and Rhododendron forests, accompanied by cascading streams’ mesmerizing sights and sounds. As you ascend through varying gradients, you will be treated to a captivating journey through the region’s natural wonders.
Ghorepani, nestled atop a ridge, is a delightful settlement that serves as the destination for today’s hike. Upon reaching Ghorepani, you can soak in the breathtaking panoramic views if the weather is clear. This vantage point offers a stunning vista of Mount Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Barahi Shikhar, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machapuchare, and many other peaks to the east.
If the weather permits, an optional hike to Poonhill for sunset is highly recommended. By opting for this timing, you can avoid the crowds typically gathered for the sunrise view. From the summit of Poonhill, you will be rewarded with a magical experience as the sun casts its golden hues over the surrounding mountain peaks. The unobstructed vistas and the tranquil atmosphere create a memorable moment that will etch itself in your memory.
So, prepare yourself for a day spent traversing the enchanting forest trails, relishing the panoramic splendour of Ghorepani, and potentially concluding with a rewarding hike to Poonhill for a breathtaking sunset view.
Day 6: Trek to Tadapani after sunrise views at Poon Hill, 2500m
The early morning of this trekking day promises a truly unforgettable experience with an excursion to Poon Hill, perched at 3,210 meters. Widely celebrated for its breathtaking sunrise views, Poon Hill offers sweeping panoramas of the snow-capped Himalayan giants, including Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchhre.
To catch this spectacular sunrise, you’ll begin your day before dawn, setting out on a 45-minute uphill hike that gains around 400 meters in elevation. Though the climb may be brisk in the cold morning air, the reward is extraordinary: as the sun rises, it casts a golden glow across the towering peaks, illuminating the range in stunning hues of orange and pink. It’s a magical moment that makes the early start well worth it.
After soaking in the views and capturing a few photos, you’ll descend back to your lodge for a well-deserved breakfast. With renewed energy, you’ll then continue your journey toward Tadapani, located at 2,540 meters. The trail offers a mix of forested paths, ridge walks, and occasional clearings with more mountain views along the way.
If you’d prefer a quieter start to the day, there’s an alternative. Instead of ascending Poon Hill with the early morning crowd, you can begin your trek toward Tadapani and stop at a scenic high point along the trail to enjoy the sunrise in solitude. This option not only offers a more peaceful experience but also shortens the day’s total trek.
It’s best to discuss your preference with your trek leader the evening before, so your morning plan can be tailored accordingly. Whether you choose the classic sunrise from Poon Hill or the quieter beauty of the trail, both options promise a memorable beginning to a day filled with natural wonder and alpine charm.
Day 7: Trek to Chomrong, 1960m – 5 hours hike
As you depart from Tadapani, the trail descends into a lush, dense forest, alive with the sounds of nature. The cheerful calls of birds fill the air, and if luck is on your side, you might spot Langur monkeys swinging playfully through the treetops—adding a touch of wild charm to your morning walk.
After around 45 minutes of gentle descent, the trail becomes steeper, guiding you through terraced hillsides until you reach the banks of Kimrung Khola. Here, a suspension bridge stretches across the river, offering both a scenic crossing and the gateway to the next leg of your hike—towards Gurjung village.
The path to Gurjung is beautifully immersive, with captivating views and a sense of serenity throughout. Upon arrival, you’ll stop at Durpin Danda for a well-earned lunch. Enjoy a satisfying meal surrounded by peaceful landscapes, the perfect setting to recharge for the remainder of the day’s trek.
After lunch, the trail descends briefly—about 20 minutes—before levelling out and contouring along the hillsides. You’ll walk through a picturesque Alder forest, interspersed with stretches of terraced farmland that slowly usher you toward your destination: Chomrong village.
This section of the trek features a mix of gentle climbs and descents, keeping the terrain dynamic and engaging. After approximately two hours of hiking post-lunch, you’ll arrive in Chomrong, a welcoming village known for its friendly atmosphere and scenic mountain backdrop.
In total, today’s journey from Tadapani to Chomrong takes around five hours. Along the way, embrace the natural rhythm of the trail as it weaves through forests, fields, and hills—each turn offering a new perspective and a deeper connection to the landscape.
Day 8: Trek to Landruk via Jhinu Hot Springs, 1500m – 5 hours
From Chomrong village, your trek begins with a steep descent lasting approximately 60 to 90 minutes, leading you to the relaxing Jhinu Danda Hot Springs. Upon arrival, you can leave your backpacks safely at the lodge before making the short hike to the springs themselves.
A scenic 20-minute walk downhill from Jhinu Danda brings you to the natural hot spring pools nestled beside the tranquil Modi River. Here, you can soak in the warm, therapeutic waters, allowing your muscles to unwind amidst the stunning riverside setting. Be sure to bring your swimsuit and a fresh set of clothes to change into after your refreshing dip.
Take your time to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and the soothing warmth of the springs—a perfect moment to recharge in nature’s embrace before continuing your trek.
After soaking in the rejuvenating waters, you’ll begin a descent toward New Bridge, where a hearty lunch awaits you. Following your meal, the trail guides you through approximately two hours of forested paths, accompanied by the gentle, melodic flow of the Modi River.
As you progress, the trail gradually ascends for about an hour, leading you to the charming village of Landruk. This picturesque stop will be your resting place for the day, offering a chance to relax and soak up the welcoming village atmosphere.
The combination of diverse landscapes, natural wonders, and local culture on this stretch will enrich your trekking experience and create lasting memories. Embrace the serenity of the hot springs, enjoy delicious meals, and revel in the beauty of the forest trails as you make your way toward Landruk village.
Day 9: Trek to Dhampus, 1700m – 5 hours
From Landruk village, the trail begins with a pleasant, level walk of about an hour, guiding you gently toward the lower region of Tokha village. This section of the path is relatively flat, offering a comfortable and relaxed start to the day’s trek, perfect for warming up your legs while soaking in the surrounding views.
Once you reach the base of Tokha village, the terrain shifts as the trail begins a steady two-hour ascent through a beautiful forested landscape. Though the uphill climb is physically demanding, the vibrant forest, cool mountain air, and sounds of nature offer a motivating and enriching backdrop. As you gain elevation, you’ll be rewarded with stunning vistas—each step bringing a deeper sense of accomplishment.
At the top of the climb, take a moment to enjoy the panoramic views before beginning your descent through the forest. The trail leads you downward into the peaceful village of Pothana, where you’ll stop for a well-earned lunch break. Nestled among the hills, Pothana offers a serene setting to rest and recharge while surrounded by natural beauty and quiet charm.
After lunch, your final stretch begins—a gentle one-hour downhill walk leading to Dhampus village, the last destination of your trek. This charming village marks the perfect end to your journey, offering a tranquil, picturesque environment to reflect on the adventure you’ve just completed.
As you arrive in Dhampus, take time to appreciate the changing landscapes you’ve traversed, the diverse flora and fauna you’ve encountered, and the cultural richness experienced along the way. This final stop is not just a place to rest—it’s a moment to celebrate the achievement of completing a memorable and rewarding trekking journey.
Let the peace of Dhampus and the memories you’ve gathered stay with you long after the trail ends.
Day 10: Drive to Pokhara. Overnight hotel
After completing your trek and arriving in Dhampus village, your return journey to Pokhara begins the following morning. The drive starts with a 45-minute stretch along a rough mountain road before transitioning onto smoother terrain. In total, the drive from Dhampus to Pokhara takes approximately 90 minutes.
Once back in Pokhara, the city’s laid-back atmosphere offers a welcome contrast to the rugged trails of the trek. It’s the perfect place to unwind, reflect on your journey, and ease back into comfort.
In the afternoon, you’ll have time to explore the vibrant Lakeside area, where the shimmering waters of Phewa Lake and the backdrop of surrounding mountains create a postcard-perfect setting. You can enjoy a leisurely walk along the shoreline, browse through local shops, or pick up souvenirs and handcrafted goods.

Among the most popular is tandem paragliding, and it’s a thrill you won’t want to miss.
